It abounds in natural resources, offers key tourist destinations, is the center of trade in Mindanao, has 11 major ports and an international airport, and is one of the Philippines’ fastest growing economies in the past year.
It’s no wonder why many would want to be in Davao now.
And one of those expanding its footprint in the country’s largest city is Ayala Land Inc. through what is expected to be a prime waterside residential, business and lifestyle district in Davao: the Azuela Cove.
A joint development project of ALI and the Alcantara Group, the 25-ha property looks out on Davao Gulf and is a mere 1.5 km away from Samal Island. It is strategically located at the intersection of Lanang’s two major thoroughfares, J.P. Laurel Ave. and R. Castillo Street. The masterplanned estate will be developed over a 10-year period.
Azuela Cove will house retail spaces, an events venue, a sports hub, central park, esplanade and mixed-use development. The sports hub will be home to a Fifa standard sized football pitch and volleyball and basketball courts. Enderun, a 2,000 sqm events area, is now ready to host parties, weddings, conventions and exhibits.
ALI has allocated 5.5 ha for residential use wherein the company’s luxury residential brand, Ayala Land Premier, has conceptualized the two-tower The Residences at Azuela Cove.
“The Residences at Azuela Cove is a pioneer project for Ayala Land Premier in many ways. It is the brand’s first property in the rapidly developing Davao City, and is also the first residential project to be launched within Azuela Cove,” said Mike Jugo, managing director of ALP. “With this landmark address, we introduce a new dimension to condominium living, fusing the convenience of being fully-integrated into an Ayala Land estate with the unique experience of living right by the sea.”
The Residences at Azuela Cove’s North Tower features 70 units priced at around P36.7 million and two penthouse units priced at P80.8 million. The second tower is set to be launched within the year.

Turnover of units at The North Tower is expected in the first quarter of 2023.
The 21-storey tower has only four units to a floor, promising residents exclusivity and privacy. All units are configured in three-bedroom formats, with variations on the layouts, and balconies. With each unit facing the sea, everyone is assured of an unparalled view of the Davao Gulf. The two penthouse units on the 21st floor has four bedrooms each.
